Rust prevention of finish machined workpieces

After metal products are stored for a period of time, the surface is easy to rust, especially in the humid environment in summer. Rust prevention is very difficult. What should we do?           
I. corrosion factors of workpieces           
1. The workpiece is easy to rust due to season and environmental factors.           
2. Storage and quality of antirust oil. The quality of antirust oil is not good, which will directly cause the workpiece to rust quickly.           
3. The acidity and alkalinity of the grinding machine cutting fluid. If the acidity of the cutting fluid is too high, the workpiece after grinding will soon produce floating rust. If not found in time, it will soon lead to workpiece corrosion.           
4. After grinding, if cutting fluid is used for machining such as boring machine, deep hole drill and sawing machine, improper protection and untimely cleaning will also lead to workpiece corrosion.           
5. If the protection is not in place, rain and snow erosion are encountered, and the cleaning is not timely and thorough, serious corrosion will be caused.           
6. The time of on-site storage before packaging, during which the workpiece will be rusted if not coated with engine oil.           
7. If it is transported away in time after packaging and stored on site for a long time, it is easy to cause corrosion.           
8. When cleaning the ground with mop, splash water and other acid liquid on the workpiece.           

II. Control of potential corrosion hazards           
In order to prevent the corrosion of workpieces, practical measures should be taken:           
1. The cutting fluid of the grinding machine shall be rust proof, and the pH value of the cutting fluid shall be tested with the test paper every other period of time to ensure that the pH value is ≥ 9. When the pH value is less than 9, the cutting fluid must be added in time to prevent the workpiece from rusting due to the high acidity of the cutting fluid.           
2. Anti rust measures shall be taken for the finished workpieces processed and ground by boring machine, deep hole drilling machine and sawing machine. When the products are processed, the cutting fluid shall be wiped clean, and the oil shall be applied after the workpiece is dry.           
3. After finishing or packaging, the product shall be placed in a dry and ventilated room, not allowed to be placed outdoors.           
4. When cleaning the ground, the water soaked in the mop shall not be splashed on the workpiece.           
5. For the processed products, they will not be shipped for a short time, and they need to be coated with anti rust oil and stored in a simple package.          
6. Antirust oil and cleaning fluid shall be sealed for storage. During the use process after opening, it is not allowed to open for storage. After each use, the barrel mouth shall be sealed with plastic cloth.           
7. After applying antirust oil, the workpieces that have been stored for more than one year need to be cleaned of antirust oil, except the parts with rust or corrosion tendency. After the workpieces are dry, the antirust oil should be applied again.           

III. Rust removal method           
1. Once the workpiece is rusted after finishing, the rust can be removed manually with sandpaper           
2. The rust has depth and large tolerance, so it needs to be removed by grinding machine           
3. The lathe can be polished with gauze top block to remove the rust          
4. If it is a key use part, it needs to be electroplated or repaired by welding.
